Instead of spending just half hour in the library I pretty much spent the whole night in there. I was sitting in the 4th floor
using the computers. It was pretty interesting noticing that everyone was doing a lot of similar things. Every time I'll get up to get something from the printer when I'll walk I'll see everyone on twitter or facebook, but at the same time they were doing their work. I also noticed that all the study group rooms were taken. In some of the study group rooms there was actually groups inter acting with one another, and even though the study group rooms are suppose to be two people or more I found some study group rooms of just one person in it. I wondered why they couldn't just sit where all the computers are at instead of just wasting a group room. I figured that's where the person felt more comfortable at because when I was a freshman and I use to go to the library alone I would try my best in getting a study group room because not only I felt more comfortable in it, but I felt like I could concentrate more. So maybe the students in the study group rooms were not on facebook or twitter socializing with their friends maybe they are the students that are trying to focus more. There has been several of times that I couldn't focus were all the computers are at because some students will talk and I'll have to get up and ask them to lower their voices. You will also catch a lot of people bring up Starbucks. If you also walk through the first floor you will see that the students that sit in the first floor are mostly reading because in the first floor they have a lot of the comfortable cushion seats. I figured they sit there because it's better than sitting in the hard chairs they have in the other floors plus they don't have many computers in the first floor so maybe it's also not to be distracted by the social life in the internet.
